Oscars Announces First Performers, Including Unlikely All-Star Band

Forward of the 94th once-a-year Academy Awards, the Oscars producers have introduced a handful of musical friends set for the March 27 ceremony, including an unlikely all-star band.

Oscars tunes director Adam Blackstone will preside about an ensemble that will element Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, renowned jazz pianist Robert Glasper, and Prince percussionist Sheila E.

DJ D-Great — in a role equivalent to Questlove’s task at the 2021 Academy Awards — will also spin tunes all through the Oscars telecast, as well as through the pre-demonstrate and submit-awards celebrations.
