Glastonbury has announced the 90 acts on their longlist for this year’s Emerging Expertise Competitiveness.
The once-a-year contest sees rising talent publishing their songs in the hopes of winning a slot on just one of the Worthy Farm festival’s key levels.
Supported by PRS For New music and the PRS Foundation, the 2022 Rising Expertise Levels of competition longlist has been picked by a panel of 30 songs writers, with that team now set to be whittled down to a shortlist of 8 by judges which includes users of the Glastonbury workforce.
The winners will then be made a decision at a forthcoming dwell celebration in Pilton, the Somerset town wherever the festival is dependent. They’ll be awarded a £5,000 PRS for Tunes Foundation Talent Progress prize, with two runners-up also obtaining a £2,500 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Progress prize.
